Does the MME Group supply both foreign and domestic manufacturing capabilities?

Yes, we can supply globally depending on program needs, quality, timing and cost. However  we specialize mainly in tooling for the Asian Markets with limited production and assembly. The MME Group has been successfully sourcing programs over seas for over 10 years.

What auxiliary or value added services do you provide?

We currently provide full Contract Manufacturing along with pad printing, part decoration, sonic welding, sonic inserting, shielding, painting, sub assembly, packaging and sterilization and specialty machining.

How many presses do you have and what sizes?

We exceeded 20 presses in 2004 and have been adding ever since. Manufacturing space of 5 to 7 presses available at all times. Presses included are: 15 standard molding presses, vertical, Rotational Two-Shot and Silicone. Press sizes range from 25 ton to 500 ton.

What is your typical lead- time for tool or mold construction and where are they made?

Typical lead- time for the MME Group is 2 to 4 weeks for bridge or low volume tooling and 4 to 6 weeks for production tooling. All domestic tooling is made in-house with our large 50 man shop running 24/7. Our two partners make offshore tooling in China.

What is two-shot molding or over-molding?

This type of molding refers to producing two-material components incorporating soft-touch features and contrasting colors. Two-Shot is done in a press with two barrels; the part remains in the mold until it is finished. Over- Molding can be done with two presses moving the first shot parts over to the next press, loading the part and molding over the first shot. Both options are available through the MME Group.

Will the MME Group handle my program if I have existing tools?

The MME Group has developed a process to move or transfer existing programs. Transfer programs will go through the process of re-qualification to ensure they meet your required needs. All tools would be inspected to rule out potential molding and tooling issues before manufacturing begins.
